The Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things presents the 5G Training and Certification for Students in collaboration with the Qualcomm Wireless Academy (QWA) 5G University Program.
This program empowers Northeastern students to elevate their competence and bolster their professional credentials within the burgeoning realm of “NextG” communication and networking. By undergoing training and earning certification in cutting-edge wireless technologies, students can fortify their skill sets and expand their horizons in this dynamic industry.
About the Certification
The Qualcomm Wireless Academy (QWA) provides students with 5G training, opportunities for professional development, and networking in the following three ways:
- Complementary 5G training.
- 5G Introductory-level Certification
- Qualcomm Recruitment Potential
Courses
5G Primer
A broad two-hour introductory course for business and/or engineering students who are new to the field of wireless engineering.

A more in-depth six-hour introductory course with some technical components also geared toward business and/or engineering students new to the field.
